Coltura Solutions is run by Coltura (Adam Wilson). This page says what the tools collect, who receives it and what happens to it. Questions go to adam@coltura.uk.

The cost calculator

The website cost calculator runs in your browser. Nothing you choose in it leaves it, unless you ask Adam for the full report. Then a one line summary of the figures you used goes with your request, so he can see what you worked out. The form shows you that line before you send it.

If JavaScript is switched off in your browser, the calculator cannot work there, so its “Show my estimate” button sends your choices (pages, features and the rates you typed, nothing about you) to our server in the page address, and the server works out the estimate. We do not save them, though the hosting logs described below record page addresses as standard.

The competitor comparison

When you compare two websites (or check one), the addresses are sent to our server, which requests each public page once and reports what it found. We do not save the addresses or the results. To stop the tool being used as a crawler, our server briefly remembers your IP address (for up to ten minutes) to limit how many checks can be run in a row. If you then ask for the full report, a one line summary (the two addresses and how many checks each was missing) goes with your request, and the form shows it to you first.

Asking for the full report

When you send the form, our server passes on your website address, name, email, phone number (if you give it), the tool you used, the one line summary of what you looked at, and the kind of page that sent you to this site (a search engine, another website, or none; never its address). To limit repeated sends, our server remembers your IP address for up to an hour.

Everyone who receives your request:

  • Coltura’s enquiry system at coltura.uk, which our server sends it to. Its server log records your website address and email address each time it delivers a request.
  • Coltura’s email inbox, by email from that system.
  • Adam, by Telegram message, so he sees it straight away. Telegram is a messaging service.
  • FormSubmit or Resend, email delivery services the enquiry system may use to send the same email.

Adam uses it to write your report and reply to you. Under UK data protection law you can ask to see what is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing adam@coltura.uk.

Hosting and visit counts

This site and coltura.uk are both hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to run and protect the service.

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, and four events on the tools: a tool started, a result shown, a report requested, and a click through to coltura.studio. The events record which tool and where on the page, never what you typed. Page addresses are sent without anything after the question mark, so the sites you compared are not recorded. Vercel Web Analytics sets no cookies.

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising trackers. It keeps one note in your browser tab (session storage): the address of the page that sent you here, so that a report request can say what kind of page that was. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
